Interests

I have many varied interests in the SCA.  Here is a brief overview of a few of them.

Rapier

One of my primary areas of interest is Rapier. Historical fencing from the mid 1500s to the early 1600s. It’s one of the major reasons why I got hooked on the SCA. I took a few years off of fencing due to school, but now that I am out of School and working I am back at it.

Arts and Sciences

My main interest in the Arts and Sciences is Cooking or Baking.

Research

I’ve done quite a bit of research in many areas over the years. Though for the first few years most of it was Rapier related I then got into researching early Tudor costume, and academic costume through the middle ages and renaissance. I’ve put this on hold for a while as I reached the point I wanted to.  I now focus on baking and cooking in my research, which you can see either on the research page, or as I post it in the blog section.

Cartography

I have a minor interest in cartography, but mostly as it pertains to the SCA and how it overlaps the real world.  I’ve done up a version of An Tir in Google Earth which you can see on the Cartography page.
